Basic obedience training, advanced training, puppy training
Tami McLeod (Assoc. of Pet Dog Trainers member
#70214) has trained and coached hundreds of dogs and their owners, spanning over 16 years of professional canine dog training.
She truly enjoys all facets of the dog training experience from dealing with the day to day issues pet dog owners face to
training for competition at the world level.
Having been fortunate to have trained, raised, and/or handled some of the top dogs in
the country in both AKC dog training obedience and Schutzhund (known as the triathalon of working dogs), Tami has the experience
and background to bring out the best in your dog.
At
just thirteen years of age she earned her first obedience title with her German Shepherd dog, "Saga". Over seventy-five
titles later handling a variety of breeds in competition from Borzoi to Belgian Malinois, German Shepherds to Rottweilers,
she is still entranced with the thrill and excitement of the world of dog obedience training competitions, and has since gone
on to attain several regional and national titles. She has placed on the podium at regional championships at the top levels,
competed at several national championship trials including the North American Championship and USA Nationals, and been ranked
top ten nationally over the years. Internationally, Tami and her Belgian Malinois "Filo" had the opportunity to
represent the United States in Germany at the world championships, an experience that combined her joy of travel with competitive
canine sports.
In 2007, Tami took a hiatus from training
to pursue law enforcement, graduating from the Metro Nashville Police Academy. While in one of the noblest of careers, she
desperately missed the challenge of training dogs, the human-canine interaction, and the challenge of teaching new behaviors
in increasingly progressive and motivational ways. She is back to dog obedience training at a relaxed pace and available on
a limited basis for dog training advice, coaching and training.
Tami
is considered a dog behaviorist consultant, and can fix many different dog behavior problems, such as separation aniety, leash
reactivity, phobia, potty training, dominance, digging, and destructive chewing. A dog that experiences dog aggression, social
agression, biting, and becoming fearfull needs a behaviorist. All these problems need dog behavior modification.
The vibrant city of Nashville and active dog
sport community serves as an inspirational back drop for Absolute K9 Solutions. Tami's dog training program now includes dog
training at home and gives the dog owner exceptional dog training advice on how to teach their own dog.We offer private puppy
obedience training or advanced puppy dog training at home.
